Month 2, Day 4 of this Writing in Public challenge.
Day fourteen of the novel Thunder Mountain. (So much for writing this thing in ten days.(grin))
Rolled out around 1:30 and managed to get to my office after 2 p.m. doing e-mails. I did that for a time, headed for the snail mail, then to WMG Publishing, then out to the place where I am buying a new conference table and chairs. Got all that set up to be picked up by movers on Friday and made it back to WMG by 4:30 p.m.
I did workshop stuff there until 6:30 p.m., doing a few last videos for the August Promotions workshop’s last week. We did the recording of that entire workshop just ahead of the week because we wanted to add in feedback from the writers taking the workshop with each week beyond the normal homework videos. And we did. So the writers taking that workshop will benefit from that going forward. (New one starting right now, actually.) But it made August a little stressful at times, to be honest, recording that close to deadline. I like having those done out ahead. (grin)
Then home to nap, dinner, dishes (since Kris is cooking at the moment) and then into this office to do homework for the workshop.
I managed to get that done and get back up to WMG by 9:30 p.m and worked there on different things until 11:30 p.m. This next Monday I’ll be also turning in Fiction River: Moonscapes to WMG and also the first issue of Smith’s Monthly, which will be fun. As I do the Monthly and get it laid out, I’m going to be doing covers for all the stories inside. The covers will serve as art inside. I’ll put a few of them up here and the covers of the first two Monthly issues when I have the web site done finally.
Also, I have to order the next eight books on the short story challenge from last year. Got them basically done and need to get the paper copies shipping here to mail them to subscribers.
I took a break to watch some television until 12:30 a.m., then went at the novel. Managed to get 3,400 words done before I stopped at 3:30. I have to be up around noon tomorrow for meetings and stuff, so want to get a decent night’s sleep.
So might finish the book tomorrow.
