Month 2, Day 10 of this Writing in Public challenge.
Rolled out at about 2 p.m. again, got some e-mail finished by 3, and then headed out to the snail mail and up to WMG Publishing.
I worked there with Jerimy and Zach on the header for the subscription service for Smith’s Monthly site, then went to work on workshop stuff. I left about 6:30 p.m.
Standard nap, dinner, news, and dishes and back at the workshop stuff here about 8 p.m. I worked here until about 10:30, then headed back up to WMG office to do more workshop stuff there, such as record my responses to homework. Left there around 12:30 a.m., got home and took a break and watched an hour of television, then back at the workshop stuff. Finished it all around 3:30 a.m.
I said I had a lot of it this week because the August workshops crossed over with the September workshops. One more day and I’ll be back on a normal schedule, thankfully.
At 3:30 a.m., I was tired and almost tossed it in, then decided I wanted to make progress on that Captain Brian Saber story for Fiction River: Moonscapes. So I moved to my writing computer and managed exactly one thousand words before tossing it in for the night. After today, that felt good to get that much done, to be honest. I’m now 2,050 words into the short story.
One session is far, far better than no sessions, that’s for sure.
The story should be done on Thursday if I can advance it a little more tomorrow with the last of the workshop stuff crunch (and figure out at some point where it is headed… I just got the characters into a really nasty spot and have no clue how to get them out… ah well, tomorrow.)
