Month 3, Day 4 of this Writing in Public challenge.
Day fifteen of the new novel called Against Time. Final Day! All done.
I rolled out around 1 p.m. and ended up after doing a little e-mail at the doctor’s office for a general yearly physical. He checked it all and told me to go away for a year and keep doing what I was doing since I was totally healthy. Not bad for a guy my age. Whew…
I headed to the snail mail and then to the store and then back to WMG Publishing. Allyson had finished both the book covers for the two new novels. So now we have covers for Dust and Kisses that will be out in January, Thunder Mountain that will be out in February, and Against Time that will be out in March.
Of course, you can get each novel two or three months ahead in Smith’s Monthly #1, #2, and #3 in that order. See the new cover of Smith’s Monthly #3 on the sidebar. Nifty, huh? I did that this afternoon.
Also, Smith’s Monthly #1 is done electronically and looks really cool. And from what I understand, is loaded or being loaded to all electronic sales stores.
I got home around 6:30 p.m. for the standard routine of nap with the cat, news, dishes, and then back to work on the workshop stuff.
I made it home around 10:00 p.m. and after a little television, I was at my writing computer and going at the end of the novel.
I wrote with only ten minute breaks until 5 a.m. and managed to get just under 9,000 words done and get the novel finished. Tomorrow I will put all the chapters into one file and get it printed off and to Kris to read. (I write in chapter files.)
So the novel, Against Time is now done. 15 days, which seems to be a very easy pace for me to write a 60,000 word novel in. I never really pushed at all.
So I will be putting all these novel blogs together with the blogs from writing Thunder Mountain last month and do an introduction explaining it all and get it out as a book.
Then when I decide to push again and finish a novel in ten days, I’ll put those with the posts from last spring and get them out as well. Great fun. A way to make a few bucks on all the time I spend doing these posts every day. Always a good thing for a professional writer to do.
