Month 3, Day 10 of this Writing in Public challenge.
Not a good writing day, but a typical Thursday. Made it up at noon, which is way, way too early for me. Got to some e-mail by 1 p.m. and then out of the house by 1:15 to head to the snail mail and then on to the WMG Thursday lunch and meetings.
Kris and I got home at around 6 p.m., so I headed with the trusty white cat to the basement for a nap, then dinner, news, and dishes.
Into this office by 8 p.m. and spent a bunch of time on workshops. Kris and I read the Strengths Online workshop assignments and I wrote letters to everyone in the class. Then we headed back downstairs to watch some television.
Got back up here around 1 a.m. and finished up a blog that is above this, another chapter in the Killing the Top Ten Sacred Cows of Publishing. Then I went back down to watch Brian Wilson on Fallon, then back up here to write.
I decided that instead of doing some new words tonight, I’d continue to fire on putting that last novel called Against Time together.
The thing feels just about opposite of Thunder Mountain, where I cut out large chunks as I put it all together. This one I keep finding transitions that aren’t there. So I wrote yet another 700 words and still don’t have the thing done. This is not rewriting anything, just adding in a full new chapter or part of a chapter. In this spot I had left a note to myself to do this and forgot to go back and do it. Makes putting the silly thing together much slower.
So now it’s 4:45 a.m. and I’m going to go get some sleep again. Tomorrow should be a fun day, with luck.
