From all reports from our new tech service and friends, all our web sites are now clean and will be guarded. However, the Google warnings are still up on her site for the moment on all servers and we are working to get those down. That takes time. So don’t click through. And once they are down, please clear your history and cache to make sure the old information isn’t stored there.
And we got the comments problem solved at least on this site. For those of you who were having trouble making a comment on a post here, try again. The website cleaning service hardened up the sites just a tad too much. (grin)
Kris and I want to thank everyone again for the kind support on all this. We’re using it to make some changes on our sites, which we were planning on doing, but now those changes have increased in speed, so watch for them shortly.
And I have a number of blog posts almost ready to roll, plus more chapters in the 2012 edition of Think Like a Publisher. So soon.
Any questions on the workshops, feel free to ask in the comment section now.
FRIDAY UPDATE!!
All sites completely clean and warning signs coming down. We are returning to normal here, whatever that is. (grin)

It’s great to hear things are getting on track, Dean. Is it ok to go to Kris’s site as normal tomorrow or should we still hold off to be safe?
I am glad everything is getting sorted. Your blog and productivity are inspirational.
As for questions, I have one: I live in New Zealand. How can I create a teleporting device to travel to those workshops? Failing that, do you know if Apple is creating an app for that?
Thomas E., hold off if you still get the warning. Just flat safer that way, even though we know it’s safe now. Just better.
Your adventures sent me to my host to harden my website ($3.00 a month) plus made me figure out how to back it up (sigh).
I am prepping my site to offer fiction in the Russian language next year, and those Rebyata can be mischievous. If it’s not one thing, it’s another.
Thanks for the warning.
Glad Kris will be coming back soon – and to hear you have new posts ready. I need my daily doses of rational thought and educated opinions.
Reading about your problems has also made me think about setting things up initially, assuming I go that route, so that the bullet-proofing and troll-proofing is there. You guys are pros – and you still got taken for a nasty ride.
Thanks for sharing – you do a lot of good.
I was never, ever able to make a comment before because it kept thinking I was some sort of spambot due to my IP address. It breaks my heart that you push those of us in SE Asia away, Dean! *grins*
Mallka, welcome back! Glad you can now get through.
Testing, 1, 2, 3, testing…
Ffffffffffft…!
Is this thing on…?

Coming back on, Todd. (grin) Sputtering, but coming back.
Testing…
I was wondering about the Javascript and Cookies error I was getting. THe error kept telling me they were required, so go turn them on, moron (paraphrasing there.
). Problem was, they WERE on. In both Safari and Firefox. Clearing everything, restarting the browsers, and even the computer didn’t solve the problem.
I’m now able to click to Kris’s site through Safari without any errors, but not in Firefox. I’m off now to see what she has posted this Thursday.
you guys are always so heartful to all of us. Back atcha. No problem, we’ll wait patiently …
takes time to put those dual carburators and blue dot tail lights back on the sites. lol

Yup, almost got it. And we have had some wonderful help, both hired and great friends. A couple of friends pointed out a minor issue today that was causing the Google warning to stay in place, our hired guys took what our friends had found and took it out within minutes. (No worry to anyone who went to Kris’s blog today, it wasn’t a bad thing that could do any damage, just a weird code issue.) So now we are asking Google to once again take the warning off. Still might be a few days, but honestly, Kris and I don’t mind, since this strange system helps keep all of us as safe as possible. Again, thanks, everyone, for the help. It’s been wonderful and we will be back up and running shortly.
And I will try to put up a few new posts this week, even with two workshops going on here. Still room in both the short story workshop and the workshops in July if anyone interested, and now taking sign-ups for the wall workshops. Write me if interested.
So glad to hear it’s gotten cleared up!
Now to figure out why spam filters are gobbling all my comments on various sites now that I got a new computer… :-/
Carradee, yup, your post ended up in my spam filter as well.
