Fiction River Funded!!!

In less than two days, Fiction River funded on Kickstarter. Let me simply say, Wow!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone, for the fantastic support of Fiction River. We just put up two new stretch rewards. Our new goal now is to help pay for issue #2 and also help pay authors for a very special project Kris is editing. We are calling it Fiction River Special #1. It will be a huge mystery anthology. It’s something Kris has wanted to do for some time.

It’s not part of the Fiction River regular six editions each year. But we hope to do a big special every year. This is just the first.

We will put up some stretch rewards to let people get copies of the new special book on Kickstarter later in the week, but at first we started off with an advanced proof special Kickstarter numbered edition, limited to 10 copies and signed by Kris.

Thank you for the support of Fiction River. I can’t begin to tell you how much Kris and I appreciate it.

(Challenge Update coming later tonight and new workshop schedule later in the week.)

  1. Oh wow! I was waiting for payday to pitch in a little change. Well done you two! I can’t wait to see what you’ll be putting into the collections.

Okay, I’m onboard. Stuck up a link on my blog to the video, which tickled me no end to watch. (I didn’t know you had the top part of a head, I can’t remember seeing you without a hat …)

Thanks, Steve. Actually, I did a couple sessions with the hat and the black coat. Didn’t get used. (grin) I had a regular dealer friend at a poker room one day walk up to me and take off my hat. She said, “Just wanted to see if you were bald.” (grin)

And is Kris nagging you yet? (grin)

      • Steve Perry says:

Interesting how these things get sparked. After saying I didn’t have time, I sat down last evening and wrote the first page, then got up this morning and finished a short. Two hours.

If Kris asks, I’m prepared. Not a mystery, just another wild-hair piece, but that’s how it works around here these days …

  3. Steve Perry says:

Yeah. I don’t have time to write short stories, I told her. Then I remembered we already had this conversation a couple decades back …

  4. C. R. Reaves says:

That’s awesome! xD When I checked yesterday, you were nearly there, so I wasn’t surprised to see this announcement today. :3 I still haven’t decided which level I want, so I just have it set to Remind Me for now while I dither.

Even if I hadn’t “known” you guys before coming across this, I think that the video would have swayed me to contribute regardless. ;)

  5. J. R. Tomlin says:

That was fast which is no surprise. :)
