New Cover for Killing the Sacred Cows of Publishing

Pati Nagle sent me this great public domain picture of a cow that she said would be great to use for a cover for the book Killing the Sacred Cows of Publishing, and she nicely offered to do up a cover for me.
I thanked her and said I wasn’t ready to have a cover yet, then got thinking about it, and of course, being a writer, I can waste time like no other human and came up with the following mock-up cover. Thanks, Pati! For the cow and the idea. And thanks to Steve Lewis for the caption idea.
New Sacred Cow post coming in a day or so. Stay tuned.

“No real cows were harmed in the writing of this blog series…”
This picture actually made me laugh outloud. Am I the only one that thinks the cow has a defiant look on her face?
“Bring it on, writer boy,” said Elsie the cow.
Steve, used your idea. Thanks!!!
Good job, Dean! That wasn’t a waste of time at all. (Now get back to writing!)
LOL, I love the ‘bring it on’ quote! Hm, aren’t sacred cows in India supposed to be white?
Awesome cover Dean.
Ah, come on, Dean, no exploding cows?
LOL, Mary. That’s a story that not even this last master class heard. Maybe one night at Denise Little workshop.
Then there are those of us in the crowd who are vegan . . .
