Here We Go into a New Year

Yeah, I know, it’s only December 2nd. But it’s time for writers to start thinking about the new year, to start making some plans, to set some goals for the coming year, and that sort of thing. So over the next few weeks, I’ll talk about goals here.  Writing goals, and how to set them for success, not for failure.

And how to figure them in the first place. And how to even figure out what you want from your writing. Always a good first step.

And I’m going to be setting some goals here for myself as well, both with personal and writing.

So get thinking about goals, e-mail me any questions, and I’ll start doing some blogs on writing goals. But in the mean time, go back and read my posts on Heinlein’s Rules. Put those standards in your head before we even get started here. They will be the basis of many of my goals, and I suggest they be the basis of any writing goal you set as well.

Back in a few days with this new discussion. But I will tell you one goal I have right now, starting now. I will post more here. I will try for two or three times per week at least. So stay tuned if you are interested in how to set goals as fiction writers. Goals aimed at success and what you can control.

Cheers, Dean
