Day 27 of this Writing in Public challenge.
Day six of the novel.
This turned out to be a recording day for me. Rolled out of bed around 1 p.m., did a little e-mail and then Kris and I were guests on a podcast from 2 until 3 p.m. I’ll announce it here when it airs. It was fun and went well I think. I was my normal opinionated self.
Then I went off to do errands and ended up at WMG Publishing. After a short discussion on various things with the crew there, I headed for my office and recorded a week of the upcoming Pacing Workshop.
Then I went into the audio room and recorded my short story “A Time to Dream” with Jane. That story will be in audio free on the WMG Publishing web site (www.wmgpublishing.com) on September 5th. It will only be free for a week, then will go to Audible.com and eventually be for sale there.
Got home around 7 p.m. Nap, dinner, dishes, and so on. Got back up to WMG Publishing offices around 8:30 p.m. I recorded a new lecture called Practice that we will announce in a few days when it is done.
A day of recording. That much recording is really tiring. Wow.
Home before 11:30 p.m., took a break and got to writing a little after midnight after watching some television.
I managed about 3,800 words before the brain shut down and I came to write this. I did those words in three chunks, basically, with ten minute breaks between each chunk. So pretty fast for me. When I am typing, the novel is moving. Still no clue where it is going.
No idea how long this is going to be, either, but if it goes past 60,000 words, my gut sense is that this will take eleven days to write. Ahh, well. (grin) But still got four days to go, so not out of this ten day artificial goal yet.
And if you add all the writing up this month, I’m past 100,000 words total. Don’t think I’ll make 100,000 words of just fiction this month. Maybe next month.
