End of the Month Catching Up

Time for some writing numbers and regular stuff…

Going to catch up all the numbers here, since the last time I did this was almost three weeks weeks ago.

January turned out to be a pretty good month for writing. And as things get slowly back to normal again, I will start back up the “thing I learned today” feature. That was fun. I still did it every day over the last three weeks, but not going to spend time here going over them.

I wrote about 125,000 total words during January, with everything except post comments counted. Decent amount of fiction. Working to ramp that up. Totals are below.

Running

Where I did fall down was on the running side of things. Since the writing was going well in Las Vegas and the half-marathon was so early in the morning (I was writing to about five every night in Vegas and I would have had to leave about 5:30 a.m. to go to the race…), I decided to push that goal back to a half marathon here in Lincoln City in March.

And while traveling and not paying much attention, I gained about five pounds back pretty solidly. It will come off, no issue. I’m not worried.

So starting tomorrow (February 1st) for the weight and the milage restart with a goal of a half marathon in March.

Hi Dean. The last few posts on fear got me thinking about how these “writers’ fears” tend to be created – as in, they are not externally driven but internally. That is, we make them up. Because making things up is what writers do. And, boy, are we good at it.
