    UpDates On Stuff…

A Bunch of Projects and Such Updates… Starting off with my reading for Pulphouse. I am solidly into October and November (doing both alternating nights) and so my hoped-for plan to finish by the end of the month is on track. Yay. Sure sorry for the long delay on those stories, but finding some good ones. And yes, my shoulder is slowly getting better each week, with PT beating on me twice a week in a good way. Still limited on my typing time, so fiction writing still slower than I want. But those of you in the challenges might want to build up some distance ahead of me as…

Updates On A Bunch of Stuff…

Writing Challenge, My Reading, and More Things… First off, I posted my word count to the right and will do so each month so those of you in the challenge with me can see how I am doing. Basically gaining speed is the answer to that. As each week goes by I can type a little longer without my arm cramping up and me needing an ice pack. I did manage last month to turn into WMG six projects, so a good month on that level. And I did more words by a ways than January. So with luck I will keep ramping up and be back to full speed…

    Typing With One Hand Sucks…

Another Week or So With The Brace… Sorry some emails back have been short.  Two quick updates… January in-person reading list will go out soon to everyone plus Study Along. Still time to sign up. Write me. 15 spots left in the July Anthology Workshop. Again, write me if interested. PT went well. Exhausted as expected. More tomorrow.

    Some Updates…

Thanks, Everyone… For the support of our grand opening sale for the Pulphouse Fiction Magazine new Shopify store. It was great and we got the store off the ground. Just wonderful! Thanks!! A couple of updates… I will turn off the sale for the workshops around noon when I get up. I would imagine the folks at WMG will be shutting off the sale for the bookstores as well around that point. So if you are up before noon West Coast Time, you can still grab a workshop at half price (see the last number of posts for details.) SPECIAL PULPHOUSE WORKSHOPS I got really delayed this weekend and will…

    The Final Buffet Project…

An Update! Way back in the middle of last year, I planned on going to different buffets around Las Vegas, writing about the buffets and posting that here and writing on a book while there. I planned on hitting all the main ones. Even bought myself a new iPad for the writing. Had it all set up, ready to go. And I am still planning on doing the project. But in October I was hit with Optical Neuropathy in my only good eye, and went mostly blind for a short time. No reason for the swelling, and with most people it will go away in 2-6 months. No treatment. Well,…

Some Updates and Other Fun Stuff

First Practice Run… Actually, no real running, only 2.5 miles of walking because no one cared that the course was short. For me, the practice came at getting up so early to go running. It was fun. First real run is Sunday, with an actual 5k course and timing bibs. I figure this coming Sunday will set the mark for the slowest of the year as I do more and more running and the weight drops over the fall. That is the plan, anyway. (grin) Publishing Fun… I spent most of today laying out the next issue of Smith’s Monthly. I do all the covers, all the layout, and, of…

    All the Art

Took Me Two More Hours Today… I found all the art for eighteen more book covers this afternoon and evening. Finding art I feel is the hardest thing about doing covers, and since I had gotten behind doing covers for all the January stories, I just decided to look for it all at once. So I would created a folder for the story that said say “Story 10 The Galactic Missing” Then I would move the word.doc of the story into the folder and open it, glance at it to remember the story, then go to find the art. In the case of “The Galactic Missing” which is a Seeder’s…

    Odds and Ends

Just Some Quick Misc Stuff Tonight… — Kris’s Fey novella is really, really good. All of us have been waiting over 20 some years for Kris to go back to the Fey. And now there is a promise of another novel or two or three. But last night I got to read a Fey novella, and all I can say was it is great. And Fey. I want to thank everyone who supported the Fey Kickstarter to give her a boost back. It worked and I will be updating everyone next week there. — Update on Master Business Class. I will email the entire class when the next eight or…

    Some Updates…

Just Because… A lot of stuff happening at once just as I finished this monster move today. Now just a few small things left to do over time like hanging art and putting books on a few remaining shelves. All minor so I can get back to really writing and exercising. So figured I would list a few things that happened in the last few days, besides me getting stupidly behind on my email. (grin) — SMITH’S MONTHLY #51 published today. You can get all the information about it at https://www.wmgpublishinginc.com/ I posted the story art and covers last night.  Very proud I got this issue out. Thanks, Gwyneth and…
