Up Way Early…

I got up early for me, like at 9 a.m., to go out where our two south stores are and help the landlord of the complex there do some painting. We are taking another building there in the complex for an apartment for me and Kris when we come back up to Lincoln City.

And the front part will be an area we will use to sort collections that come in and a large porch area will be our 4th store.

So the landlord was painting the inside and going above and beyond the call of duty to seal the place for Kris and her allergies. So I offered to go help him and I spent three hours there, arriving at the workshop in WMG at 1 p.m. covered with paint. Going to be a cool place. Thanks, Bob, for all the extra work.

Then I went home, took a shower to get rid of most of the paint, then off to do banking runs to all three stores. Then I went back to WMG to work.

Around 5 p.m. I went into part of the warehouse where we have a couch and took a nap. One of those close my eyes and fifteen minutes vanish.

Then off to a fun dinner with some friends before going back to the workshop for the evening session.

Got home from that around 11 p.m., made myself some dinner and watched some television, then got to my email around midnight.

I finally moved over to my writing computer at 12:30

The Story

I went to my half-title pages and saw a half-title “Something in…” and then on the next sheet of half-titles I saw the phrase “…My Darling” and I had to write that story. Bryant Street, of course.

So I took a short break after 700 words around 1:15 a.m. and then finished the story at 1,600 words at 2 a.m.

Might be one of the stranger Bryant Street stories and that is going some.

16 stories done. Every day this is becoming more and more of a success. Not a one of these stories would have happened without this challenge. Not a one.
