At My New Desk

Still Only Partially Moved In…

But moved in enough that I am typing this from the new desk and will get assignments and such caught up tomorrow. And I have a second new desk to put together still. And a ton of getting paperwork together. But over the next few days I will be getting caught up.

And finally I will be sending out hotel codes for the Master Business Class and Anthology workshop. So stay tuned for those if you are signed up.

Also will be catching up a ton of other stuff. Amazing how far behind a person can get on a monster move.

Stay tuned. Almost there.

Kris took a fun picture of me in an area of my new office putting my new desk together. Actually all you can see is my feet and my trusty helper Gavin making sure I did everything correctly.

Stressful on all of us. Especially since we never thought we would leave that big house. But life throws some curveballs at times and I love this condo. Actually this will be hundreds of times better for me here and thousands of times better for Kris. So a win all the way in the end. Living in five thousand square feet in a small town a long ways from anywhere with five levels and a billion stairs wasn’t really a place that I wanted to get really old in. (grin) So now that I think about it, this is maybe a thousand times better for me as well.

Nope, a desk from Office Depot, actually. Glass tops, large. Ordered one that filled the space perfectly.

        Cool, that sounds great.

Not for me though, I’ve wanted to get a whiteboard desk: or at least convert my current desk to become a whiteboard.

I always suspected you need a supervisor. 🙂
Now we know how you can put out so much content so fast. Gavin must be a taskmaster.

Gavin is making sure you’re reading the instructions first instead of “screwing into the dark.” Something I might or might not have done with DYI furniture. However, I LOVE your bookshelves. Real wood, but streamlined. Would you mind sharing the source, please?
    Happy Writing!

We designed them for what we needed and had a friend make them. They are simple pine with a coat of something that makes them shine a little and keeps anything from the wood from seeping into the books.

Gavin seems to be wondering if he should point out an error or wait until you find it yourself. 🙂
I also love the book cases. And glad the move was best for both of you. Looking forward to photos of the office when you finish setting it up.

As a cabinetmaker I’m intrigued by the amount of interest your bookcases are getting. Not saying that they don’t look good. but they they’re not ornate. For me personally I am interested in the apparent sliding two step stair. Now that is interesting. Not something I’ve seen before, but super cool and something this cabinetmaker+welder household will be doing as we taris this house out
