Day Fourteen of Writing a Novel in Half a Month

Chapter Fourteen: Day Fourteen of Writing a Novel in Half a Month

Second time in a row I didn’t get here a few times in the middle of the day to do entries. I just flat got so busy, I forgot. I hope to be less busy by next Tuesday. Today is Wednesday, so going to be a long week coming up.

Day Fourteen, Entry One (And only).

12:30 pm to 2:00 pm.  I got out of bed at 11:30 am and made it here by 12:30 with my protein bar. Did email until 2 pm.

2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. I cooked lunch and we sat and talked about some writing stuff happening.

3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Finished up more email and did some WMG Publishing business with Allyson.

4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. I had put off grocery shopping for long enough, so off I went. Drove out to Summerlin (fantastic, clean, modern store) because downtown Las Vegas where we live is a grocery store desert. So 45 minutes of that was driving, listening to the 60s channel.

6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. First I took a nap, then cooked us dinner and we watched the news.

8:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Some more email and working on a coming Kickstarter project.

9:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Went out for a decent distance walk with Kris. I have been dealing with a blister problem since the marathon in November, finally got it solved, so as things ease in a week, I’m really ramping up my distance. Got some winter pounds to drop. I would drop two pounds if I could just go to a barber and get this hair cut off. Soon as Kris gets her shots.

11:30 pm to 2:00. Started with a few more emails, then moved over to the writing computer. A couple short breaks and I did 2,400 words before calling it a night there. Still fun. I ran across how I think it might end about halfway through the night tonight, so still got to wrap it and do the validation sections, but should come in just over 41-42 thousand words. Maybe a little shorter. We shall see tomorrow.

And tomorrow I will try to post entries all the way through the day to show how it is going. Again we shall see. (grin)
