    Pattern of Work

    When the World Lets Me… Which is has for the last few days. Great fun. I start off doing email when I first get up and get going. Usually around noon or so. Then errands and lunch. Then around 3 or so I go down to our office and work down there for about an hour and a half, putting things together, sorting, putting up shelves, you name it. Basically physical work. Then more email, then a quick nap and then dinner. After dinner I am in here doing other stuff, including assignments and misc work at my computer. Often reading some. (Remember, bad eye so computer time is limited.)…

    I Gave It A Month

    Total Failure… I am no longer trying to get up at 7 am to exercise and start my day early. About a month or so ago I said I would try it for the exercise aspects and because it was too hot here at any other time. I tried it, and some mornings it was actually in the low 90s, still too hot for me, but I got some milage those days. I ended up seldom getting more than five hours sleep, had to take naps all the time, ate too much, and was a ton less efficient than I am at night. So now, even though we are still…

    Cold Poker Gang Novel Going Great

    Started Two Days Ago… Before this new attitude of doing words first every day, I would have gotten nothing done on a day like today. Basically I have set myself up to get up in the morning at the exact same time, go through a routine, and then do 2,000 words before too much business. Then more words later in the day as I can find them. Most mornings I will do the words right here in my office. Some mornings I will grab my iPad and head for a buffet or a restaurant for breakfast and 2,000 words before coming back. I have left myself the option to be…
