    How Am I Losing Weight?

    Got a Couple People Asking Me Today… One thought two pounds a week was too fast, but actually most docs and basic information say that is a safe pace. And it feels right to me so I’m going to try to maintain it. So how am I doing it? First, I know this intense focus on it will end in about ten weeks or so.  That helps.     Got To Get Up Early

    To Go Run in a 5K Charity Run… Kris and I have to go out of the house at 7 a.m. at the latest. So I’m not staying up late tonight, that’s for sure. (grin) So two running pictures one year apart. Last Year at the Vegas Strong Run… I was down 45 pounds from heaviest, but still a long ways to go. Second picture this year, down 82 pounds from my heaviest.     Going Running

    And the Season Starts… Tomorrow morning, at some amazingly early hour, Kris and I are headed off to do a charity 5k run. We are doing about ten of these charity runs around town before the end of the year. All for great causes. (Tomorrow is St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.) The high temperature tomorrow will be 102 here, more than likely one of the last hot days of the summer. We have promised ourselves that if it is too warm when the race starts, we will just walk.     Tomorrow Starts…

    Ramp Up On Exercise… Going to hit it hard. I kind of let my steps and other stuff slip after the Licensing Expo. So tomorrow I ramp for the summer. Going to 12,000 steps a day and try to keep that as a streak and no more than 1,200-1,500 calories a day intake on most days. That will drop two pounds a week, a top line on healthy weight loss. It’s a famous diet I am using. Eat Less and Move Around More. I’ve lost over 60 pounds doing that so far, and I got a marathon to run this fall.
