Two Wonderful People Are Going To Help Us Out…

DEIDRE J. MANNA-BRATTEN

Deidre J. Manna-Bratten is an enthusiastic brand licensing professional, helping brand owners and licensees understand how to navigate through the challenges and benefits of consumer product licensing.

Before joining the Global Licensing Group as their International Project Manager, Deidre worked in the fashion industry for 8 years as a Sales and Marketing Executive. During this time, she had her first taste of licensing as a licensee of Warner Bros (Gossip Girl), creating an inspired-by full range apparel collection with Romeo & Juliet Couture. Deidre has worked with reputable entertainment companies, such as Mattel and Saban Brands, to create compelling products and marketing campaigns supporting their brand portfolios. Currently, Deidre leads development of licensing-learning initiative, Licensing Accelerator 365, and partners with notable companies, such as the U.S. Department of Commerce and InventHelp, to bring education and innovation opportunities to the largest brand licensing trade show in the world, Licensing Expo Vegas.

That’s right Deidre is the International Project Manager for the company that puts on the Global Licensing Expo. And she will be at the master class and is excited about helping writers get into this world we have been ignoring far, far too long.

And we have another special guest with cool stuff to help us all, returning for a second year.

DAMON COURTNEY

Damon Courtney is the creator and CEO of BookFunnel, an ebook delivery service for authors and publishers. Though he would like to be a highly successful indie author, he can only lay claim to publishing a single Fantasy trilogy that he does really like, despite its lack of sales. But, self-publishing three novels did lead to the creation of BookFunnel, so he’s got that going for him.

As a lifelong software engineer, Damon is an expert in just about everything technical and can offer unique insight on publishing as it relates to software and technology. In case you haven’t heard, software is eating the world. Our lives as authors cannot survive in this new world without software, so that makes Damon feel really important.

Damon also has some really cool stuff he has been announcing and about to announce from Bookfunnel.
